Swinging Spirit, the Hungarian circus pony

Each day Spirit and his mate Blacky have a ritual they seem to like; this includes the order of how they go out into their respective fields, having their raincoats on or their summer fly sheets, the order in which they come home, where they stand to have their feet cleaned and how they have their dinner. It was during one of these rituals that Jessica thought she had a new dancing pony on her hands:

As is their way, after Blacky goes back into his stable, Spirit comes home and likes to tease Blacky over his stable door from the yard. They can move from loving kisses to vicious bites between them, each giving as good as they get whilst Jessica cleans Spirits feet and brushes him down.
On this occasion Jessica had left taking Spirit’s ‘little red riding hood’ coat off until last and was pre-occupied bending half way down his body with his grooming. Jessica was content they were behaving quite well with each other so took her eye off them for a moment. Sub consciously she was thinking how agile Spirit was being, he seemed to be moving back and forth with such ease almost like a ballet dancer. As this continued the thought came more to the fore of her mind. Eventually taking much more notice of this unusual movement she began to stand, seeing the wonderfully relaxed face and eyes of Spirit almost in a trance then noticing his sway back and forth like a gentle swing. Looking further up his body she was amazed to see Blacky’s teeth with a firm grip on the top of Spirits red coat; he had lifted Spirits body completely off his feet and was swinging him back and forth by his coat, what is more; Spirit was enjoying it!  Jessica could not believe her eyes, she stood back to see the complete picture for another 30 seconds before Blacky lowered him onto terra-firma as if it was an every day occurrence.

Where is the camera when you need it!
